anyways u white gays need to understand that representation is severely lacking for gay people of color and it’s not scandalous to be tired of every remotely white movie that comes out and calls itself “gay” and is apparently “brimming with representation” when we only see 3 seconds of the stereotypical black character and never see them again. moonlight, the handmaiden, and other movies (sad that i can’t list too many because there’s not a lot of promotion for gay poc) were, strangely enough, promoted only a few times on some of the gay tumblr blogs that ive seen in comparison to “carol” and “love, simon” which is, most decidedly, the most annoying fucking thing ever and all of u white gays who feel as if we have enough representation as is need to reconsider because there are a lot of gay poc who have yet to see themselves be represented properly on screen without being killed brutally or pushed to the background to make room for your fucking white fave.
